Applications are now open to become Editor of Varsity in Michaelmas 2018. This is your opportunity to take up the lead editorial role producing Cambridge’s biggest and best student newspaper.
Applications can be solo or as a pair. The successful candidate(s) will lead a large team, managing Varsity’s website and social media presence over the summer and during term, and producing nine print editions throughout Michaelmas.
Applications are expected to show a strong vision for the paper, with a particular focus on tackling the challenges and opportunities of first term, and must demonstrate they have the skills required to run a successful Varsity team. Candidates will be expected to show a clear idea of how the paper should present itself to incoming students.
No prior experience at Varsity or any other student publication is required for the role.
Previous editors include some of Britain’s top journalists, and can be found working across the worlds of media, film, theatre, politics and more.
