Police and ambulance crews were called to Magdalene Street this afternoon, following a collision involving a cyclist and a pedestrian.
Cambridgeshire Constabulary told Varsity that they were called to the scene at approximately 2pm, and confirmed that a man in his 70s was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital with serious head injuries.
Emergency services vehicles blocked the street from Magdalene Bridge to the intersection between Castle Street, Chesterton Road, Magdalene Street and Northampton Street. Witnesses told Varsity that the street was blocked for approximately 30 minutes.
