Man arrested after double stabbing in Cambridge
The suspect, a 25-year-old man from London, was arrested at Parkside Police Station on Saturday
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a double stabbing took place in Cambridge on Friday night (20/08).
Two men, aged 30 and 35, were stabbed in the market square and Cambridgeshire police were called at 23:22.
Both victims were taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, and are reported to be in a stable condition.
The suspect is a 25-year-old man from London who was arrested at Parkside Police Station on Saturday (21/08). He is presently in custody.
An area of the market was cordoned off on Saturday morning, with police reportedly at the scene from 06:00 and remaining late into the day.
Although traders have been allowed to open their stalls, visitors have been discouraged. The road was closed from Sidney Street to Rose Crescent.
