Survey: How much are Cambridge students using Chat GPT?
Chat GPT has taken over the world – fill in Varsity’s survey to find out how much Cambridge students are using it
Six months ago, most people had never heard of Chat GPT or any other AI chatbot. However, in a few short months the world has quickly changed as the potential, and dangers, of artificial intelligence became readily accessible on everyone's phone or laptop.
Since it first emerged at the end of last year, Chat GPT has rarely been out of the news (including in Varsity) as the world began to grapple with the possibilites the chatbot had revealed.
The education sector has also struggled to keep up with AI advances. At the start of February, Varsity exclusively revealed that the University of Cambridge had no plans to ban Chat GPT. Since then, the University has warned students not to use the tool for coursework and exams.
A lot has changed in 2023 - Varsity wants to find out how much Cambridge's students are actually using Chat GPT and similar chatbots.
Please complete this anonymous form by midday on Wednesday 19th April to tell us if you use Chat GPT. You need to log in with your University email address to complete the form.
Pick up a copy of the next print edition of Varsity on Friday 21st April to read the results.
