Survey: Student Budgeting 2024
Ever wondered how much the average Cambridge student spends in a term? Fill in Varsity’s survey to find out
Money matters, but Cambridge students often shy away from discussing their concerns with personal finance. This Freshers’ Week, Varsity wants to provide you with the opportunity to share your experiences, and offer readers a realistic sense of the average student budget.
Earlier this year, Varsity reported on the desperate measures students are taking, including taking days off their course to work part-time jobs, to finance their degree due to insufficient support. Ahead of Michaelmas term beginning, Varsity wants to find out how students continue to be affected by the ongoing cost of living crisis.
Please complete this anonymous form by midday on Sunday 22nd September to let us know how much you spend each week and your wider experiences with student finance. You need to log in with your University email address to complete the form.
Keep your eyes peeled on the website and for our next print edition to read the results.
