Varsity is re-opening letters this term, giving you the opportunity to tell our editors your thoughts on our contentJessica Leer for Varsity

Varsity’s 2025 New Year’s Resolution is to give Cambridge students their say. Have you ever wished that Varsity news stories had a comment section? Perhaps you’ve wanted to respond to a comment article? Or maybe you’ve tried a trick from lifestyle and want to tell us about your experience? With the re-introduction of the Varsity letters section, you can!

Varsity is re-opening letters this term, giving you the opportunity to tell our editors your thoughts on our content, and potentially have them featured in print.

We’re looking for letters that provide a new perspective on our content, and offer a thought-out rebuttal or analysis of something that we’ve published. Submissions should be 70-100 words, and may be edited by our letters team for grammar and spelling purposes.

Previous letters have covered everything from culture wars to Union speakers, and the National Union of Students to Mathmo Swifties.

Letters will be featured in our bi-weekly print editions, and will ideally respond to content from the previous edition. However, we want to hear your perspectives on all of our work, and will consider letters responding to all of our articles.

You can submit letters by using this form, or by sending submissions to letters@varsity.co.uk. Please include your full name, subject, year group, and the headline of the article you are commenting on.  If you are not a Cambridge student but would still like to write a letter to the editors, please use the email for your submission.
