Regent House to vote on no confidence Grace
The University confirms that results will be announced on the 25th of July
The University has confirmed that the vote of no confidence in David Willetts, the Minister for Universities and Science, is to be voted upon by members of the Regent House, and that the results will be announced on Monday 25th of July.
A spokesman said that “At its meeting yesterday, the University Council decided to submit the Grace proposed by 149 members of the Regent House to a ballot of all of its 4,500 members”.
The Oxford vote, which inspired the Cambridge one, passed almost unanimously last week. The Bradford University and College Union (UCU) passed a unanimous motion of no confidence on Wednesday, and similar actions are expected at Warwick and Goldsmiths universities. Other universities are expected to follow suit.
