A 25 year old man has been arrested in connection to the burglary at the Fitzwilliam Museum in April.
A man was arrested last night in London on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary. He was arrested by officers from the Metropolitan Police and will shortly be transported to Cambridgeshire for further questioning.
Earlier this month a 28 year old man and a 15 year old were arrested in connection to the theft. Patrick Kiely, of Eleanor Street London, and the unnamed minor, appeared at Cambridge Crown Court on May 11 charged with theft and conspiracy to commit burglary.
They entered no pleas but are due to do so on July 13, with a trial date set for November 19.
A 31 year old man was then arrested and released on conditional bail for money laundering. He must return to Peterborough on May 22.
The value of the items stolen range between £10 - 40 million.
