Oman: the Jailbreak-winning destination
After 36 hours Zoë Silkstone and Fenella Chesterfield have won RAG Jailbreak 2014
Zoë Silkstone with Fenella Chesterfield have won this year's RAG Jailbreak competition, reaching Oman in Southwest Asia.
They flew to Dubai yesterday evening and travelled on to Oman today. They have raised £600 so far.
Overall this year's Jailbreakers have raised just under £2,500 for RAG. The money will go to ten different charities; these include Cambridge Rape Crisis, Wintercomfort, Medecins Sans Frontieres and Unseen.
Zoë, a first-year English student at Robinson College, said: "We started out with very vauge, grand ideas, which we thought would never materialise and that as freshers this first Jailbreak would be a practice for experience.
"It's incredible to have reached Oman and to have won!! Truly an unforgettable weekend and amazing experiences we will cherish!"
Check back here tomorrow for the first interview with the winning team.
