Revealed: Clare May Ball theme
Clare’s organising committee announced their much-anticipated theme last night

Clare College is aiming to throw the greatest birthday party ever for its 2017 May Ball, its planning committee revealed on Sunday night.
Months of keeping the details under wraps culminated in the exciting announcement during a cocktail launch party at 2648 bar in Cambridge, where Clare students introduced the theme, ‘How Old Are You Anyway?’
“We hope to make you feel six, sixty and everything in between, turning your age into an afterthought”
“We wanted to reinvent the Clare May Ball and bring our guests something new,” the committee told Violet.
“Fun and interactive for our guests, our theme is one that everyone can relate to because everyone loves to celebrate their birthday.”
Some of the most recent themes chosen at the College have included ‘The Orient Express’, ‘The Imaginarium’ and ‘Primordial’.

The Clare May Ball communications officer, Olivia Jenkins, expects this year to defy age boundaries. “We hope to make you feel six, sixty and everything in between, turning your age into an afterthought,” she said. “As you leave, you'll be asking, ‘How old are you anyway?’”
Priority ticket application for Clare students will be open from 7pm on Monday 13th February to 7pm on Wednesday 15th February, before the general application window opens for the rest of the week.
Entry will be priced at £150 for Clare students, rising to £165 for other Cambridge students and £190 for guests from elsewhere
