Prince of Wales to visit Cambridge
Prince Charles will speak to international students at an annual scholars’ reception on Monday

Prince Charles will be visiting Cambridge on Monday, it has been announced.
The Prince of Wales will speak to international students at an annual scholars’ reception hosted by the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust and the Cambridge Overseas Trust at the Fitzwilliam Museum.
A similar visit was made by the Prince, who is the patron of both Trusts, back in 2011. The charities were founded in the 1980s by the University of Cambridge in order to provide financial support for international students. More than 1,000 students are currently supported by the Trusts, which offer full-cost or part-cost scholarships.
Claire Lambert, Communications Manager for the Trusts, said: “We are delighted that the Trusts’ Patron, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, will be in attendance at this year’s annual scholars’ reception and will have a chance to meet some of the students from the 72 countries the Trusts currently support.”
Prince Charles graduated from Trinity College in 1970, having read archaeology, anthropology and history.
Next week’s royal visit to the city follows that of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge last November.
