A month after the legendary player for Real Madrid and Germany, Toni Kroos, announced that he would be retiring from the game, fans of Real Madrid tickets are hearing of a possible comeback.

Kroos Back?

Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos briefly discussed the prospect of coming out of retirement and how little chance there is of that happening during an episode of the Einfach mal Luppen podcast he regularly hosts with his brother Felix.

Kroos memorably announced his shock exit from the game at the age of 34 earlier this year. His last game in Madrid’s iconic white shirt was a Champions League final win over compatriots Borussia Dortmund at Wembley in June.

The midfielder officially retired after Germany was beaten on home soil by eventual winners Spain at the Euros and dumped out of the last eight.

And with the 2024/2025 club season now well underway while Los Blancos evidently struggle to deal with his absence in the center of the park, Kroos threw cold water on the prospect of being convinced to go back on his decision.

“My retirement is immovable; it is a fact that must be accepted, and it makes no sense to say ‘he’s not there’. That’s not going to change in the next game,” he stated.

“It doesn’t do anyone any good to say, ‘He’s not there.’ It’s a compliment to know you’ve been important, but it’s about how the team adapts now.”

Furthermore, Kroos thinks it is off-key to talk as though Carlo Ancelotti’s men never suffered difficult moments when he was plying his trade.

“People always say, and it’s not true, that we won all the games 4-0 with me. Things don’t look good, but we didn’t always play wonderfully, either. We often had problems with myself [playing] that can’t be forgotten,” he stated.

Kroos explained that he always wants his former club to do well and win every match.

“I’ve heard many times that they miss me. It’s nice to hear it, but on the other hand, I don’t want to hear it because it’s derogatory for those who are on the field.”

He now views Real Madrid’s games “from a different perspective.” “It’s a bit strange to me, but I still see them as part of the team; I can’t ignore it. However, I don’t feel the need to say, ‘I really want to play.'”

It also stems from the issues that those with Real Madrid tickets see in the side as they progress to the latter half of the first stage. Despite having a star player in almost every position, the team still needs to work as a star team.

There are imminent issues all around.

New Look Real has Problems

Real Mardi manager Carlo Ancelotti has finally spoken up about the team’s struggles in the build-up to the new season. He struggles to find a balance between composure and tactics going into this season.

Fans with Real Madrid tickets were elated in the summer transfer window when the side brought in star player Kylian Mbappe, but it looks like things aren’t going smoothly.

Carlo Ancelotti addressed Real Madrid’s challenging start to the season. The team earned only five points from its first three league matches.

Ancelotti, who spoke in a serious tone, faced 13 questions that ranged from the team’s gap with Barcelona to the chemistry between Vinicius and Mbappé, as well as the squad’s morale, the Ceballos situation, penalty takers, and defensive solidity.

Here’s an extract of the key questions Ancelotti emphasized about the Real Madrid team.

Searching for Solutions

” Our time is sufficient, as we are used to this schedule. We’ve faced these issues previously—if you don’t have time… we need to see how the match unfolds tomorrow.”

The club’s recent form

”Being concerned means we are actively working to solve our problems. So far, we haven’t been able to maintain a compact formation, and this needs improvement. I have discussed this with the players, and they agree. When the problem is clear, it becomes easier to address.”

Is form a complex issue?

”No, we need to defend better, and that’s a collective commitment. Right now, it’s about individual effort that needs to be channeled into a team effort. It has been difficult for us to win back possession, and opposing teams have exploited gaps between our lines. It’s something we recognize and will resolve.”

Who will take the penalties?

” The players make the decision.”

Dani Ceballos and his future at Real Madrid

”He is an important player for us. Indeed, he hasn’t had the minutes he wanted or deserved, but we’re glad he’s stayed with us, and he will be very useful to the team.”

-Does the team need to defend better from the front with the attackers?

”If we consider defensive work, Kylian is the last player we must worry about. He’s playing very well, even if he hasn’t scored; his presence creates danger. Mbappé’s adaptation isn’t an issue.”

– Do you think Real Madrid is receiving excessive criticism from the fans with Real Madrid tickets at this point in the season?

”No, it’s absolutely normal because the expectations for this team are always high. We will face criticism until May. That’s normal for us.”

Nothing Fundamental is Wrong with the Team

On whether the team’s preparation is where it should be and if the criticism after the Lille match is overblown: ”Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Still, nothing is fundamentally wrong with the team.

Sometimes, you need to reset, and we need to do that quickly. A good winning streak can sometimes make you feel invincible, but a defeat brings you back to reality. We aren’t quite at our best yet; some players aren’t at their peak. We aren’t far from where we want to be, but we lack defensive intensity, and offensively, our ball circulation needs improvement.”

Dressing Room Discussions

” We’ve discussed the need to move the ball quicker to our forwards, and we acknowledge that we lack defensive intensity. If we lose again, we’ll address it, but we’ve gone 40 games unbeaten in La Liga. If we lose, we’ll be sad, but we’ll find solutions.”

Mbappe’s Absence from National Duties

”He had an issue that now seems resolved. He’s been training normally. I don’t interfere with national team decisions. Deschamps decided not to call him up. I understand Madrid’s medical staff spoke with France’s medical staff, and they made the decision together.”
